In urban slums/villages, many parents are facing difficulty to give proper basic educational facilities to their children.
The present high cost of living is also leading to many school dropouts.

In India, a recent report showed that 44% of children between the ages
of 7 and 10 could not read even a simple paragraph. Teaching is still done by
traditional learning methods, and children are often taught in a language they do not understand. (Annual Status of Education, 2006) Very low rates of enrolment reported for socially disadvantaged groups such as Scheduled Castes (S.C) and Scheduled Tribes (S.T). 50% of S.C, 56% of S.T and 57% of other backward class children drop out of school. |
How you will get to know
Missio Foundation will make sure that all the supported students will have good educational records and
that they also remain in constant touch with their sponsors. You can look forward to receiving drawings and messages from the child you sponsor.
MISSIO will also keep you updated with their Progress Reports and other merits they receive from their school.
