Missio foundation organises a Cultural Event called "AWAKENING" for Students all over India.
This is to collect youth and teens under one umbrella to spread the awareness about HIV/AIDS and its Deadly
effects and prevention methods in a different and interesting style that suits the present youth. The event
comprises of Painting Competition, Writing Competition, Singing Competition, Dramatics and Dance Competition.
Missio Foundation invites Renowned Personalities who have excelled in
the above said areas to motivate and encourage the youth. This event focuses on teens and youth and
through them their families and friends.
Aim
1. Dispel myths and misconceptions related to HIV/AIDS and raise awareness about its risks and need for behavioural change among the youth.
2. Create an environment free from discrimination and stigma.
3. Encourage the youth to volunteer themselves in the process of creating awareness.

Missio Foundation organised an event called ‘AWAKENING 2008’ on 30th November 2008, keeping in mind 1st December being the World AIDS Day. Through the event, we were successful in creating awareness among the students (families), and also collected potential and committed youth volunteers for the upcoming projects.
